Spine

Tampa-based Laser Spine Institute welcomed Troy Caron, DO, Raj Kakarlapudi, MD, and Jeff Martin, MD, to its team. These surgeons will treat patients at surgery centers.

Here are five key points:

1. Dr. Caron, board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, will treat patients in Laser Spine Institute's seven facilities. He received the first place AOSpine fellow award and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, American Osteopathic Association and AO North American Spine, among others.

2. Dr. Kakarlapudi will see patients at the Cincinnati surgery center. He is a member of the American Medical Association and was named a "Top Doctor" by Cincinnati magazine in 2015.

3. Dr. Martin, certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, will treat patients at each of Laser Spine Institute's seven facilities. He completed a fellowship with the Surgical Specialty Hospital of Arizona in Phoenix and is a member of the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

4. These three surgeons all completed internal fellowship programs at Laser Spine Institute's Tampa facility.

5. Including these three surgeons, Laser Spine Institute has welcomed six surgeons to its seven nationwide ASCs within the last year.

"Although each of these surgeons [has] a different and unique experience to bring to the table, they all have one important quality in common: a true passion for a patient-first approach, a quality Laser spine Institute desires for all of its practicing surgeons," said David Pillsbury, president of Laser Spine Institute.
