Pain management physician Jonathan Carlson, MD, joined North American Spine.
Here are five things to know:
1. Dr. Carlson is a new partner at the practice's Scottsdale, Ariz., facility. He will treat patients at the Northstar Surgery Center.
2. He is an ACGME-accredited pain fellow and double-boarded in anesthesiology and pain management. He'll offer bespoke management plans for patients with chronic pain in addition to evaluations and diagnostic tests.
3. Dr. Carlson earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma in 2004 and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of California-Davis. He also completed a pain fellowship at Texas Tech University.
4. North American Spine is the exclusive provider of the AccuraScope Procedure, a minimally invasive spine surgery for patients with chronic pain. More than 8,000 AccuraScope procedures have been performed with an 82 percent success rate.
