Deion Sanders, Bill Walton and Billy Beane — Why we chose them as keynoters this year

Spine

Deion Sanders, Bill Walton and Billy Beane will give keynote addresses at the 13th Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC Conference + The Future of Spine, held in Chicago on June 11 to 13.

Deion Sanders and Bill Walton are two athletes who we find far more interesting then their on-screen personas would indicate. Billy Beane has a fascinating mind.

Deion Sanders, when off stage, is known as very humble person heavily involved in charity and from a very poor family who created an on-stage personality out of thin air. His talk, titled "Prime Time: Turning Dreams Into Reality?" will be June 11 at 4:55 p.m. Watch him speak on YouTube if you have the chance.

Bill Walton is an athlete who, despite literally dozens of surgeries, brings tremendous enthusiasm and zest to everything he does. He has won at ever level. More interesting than that, he has fascinating insight on so many subjects from John Wooden to the Grateful Dead and is an incredible story teller. Bill's talk is titled "From Business Strategy to Action: Right Decisions for a Better Bottom Line" and will be on June 13 at 8:10 a.m.

Billy Beane, played by Brad Pitt in the 2011 film Moneyball, has a theory of management and constructing winning teams that is both highly disciplined and highly applicable to all of our businesses. He provides a disciplined insight and is a great speaker with thoughts we can all use whether managing an ASC, an orthopedic practice, spine practice, law firm, media firm or any other entity. His presentation, titled "Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game," will be on June 12 at 8 a.m.
