The Irvine (Calif.) Stem Cell Treatment Center is conducting a series of free public seminars on the use of adult stem cells for a number of degenerative and inflammatory conditions.
Thomas A. Gionis, MD, surgeon-in-chief of the center, will present the seminars. The center, along with sister centers, use adult adipose derived stem cells to help improve patients' quality of life for a number of conditions and diseases. The center is studying the effect of stem cells in a number of areas, including rheumatoid arthritis, muscular dystrophy and degenerative orthopedic joint conditions.
