Paul Re, MD, was lauded for his 15 years of work at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass., recently at the hospital's Physician Recognition Dinner.

Dr. Re, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, serves as chief of both orthopedic services and sports medicine at the hospital and, as such, has taken care of thousands of patients.
"I wouldn't want to practice medicine anywhere else," Dr. Re told Wicked Local Lexington.

"I'm continually impressed by the skills and commitment that our operating staff and nurses have towards our patients. It is an important reason why we're successful as surgeons," he said.

"Paul is a wonderful physician whose dedication to his patients and to the field of orthopedics and sports medicine is unparalleled," said Emerson Hospital president and CEO Christine Schuster. "We are very proud to have him on our team treating patients with sports injuries and caring for those who have other orthopedic issues."

Dr. Re earned his medical degree from Columbia University and completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was chief resident.
