Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center in Salida, Colo., has recently added a spine care expert to its staff, reports The Mountain Mail.

William Choi, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, is now seeing patients at the HRRMC Medical Clinics. According to HRRMC officials, Dr. Choi, whose primary practice is with Precision Spine Center in Centennial, Colo., will travel to HRRMC once a month to both see patients and to perform various surgeries.

Dr. Choi received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and then completed a neurosurgical residency at Montreal Neurological Institute. He then went on to specialize in spine surgery through two fellowships — one at UCLA and one at the University of Miami. Since then, Dr. Choi has directed the Multidisciplinary Spine Surgery Program at the University of Colorado hospital.
