Neurosurgeon Jennifer Sweet, MD, was named to the Helius Medical Technologies scientific and medical advisory board.

 

Richard Byrne, MD, was named medical director of neurosurgical services at Elmhurst (Ill.) Hospital.

 

Chair of orthopedic spine surgery at University of California San Diego Steven Garfin, MD, was quoted discussing Intrinsic Therapeutics' randomized superiority clinical trial for the Barricaid anular closure device, which recently closed patient enrollment.
