ISASS Awards Leon Wiltse Best Overall Paper to Drs. Antoine Tohmeh, Robert Isaacs, Jonathan Sembrano

The International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery awarded the ISASS Leon Wiltse Award for Best Overall Paper at the organization's annual meeting last week.

The award went to a paper titled "XLIF vs. MAS TLIF for the Treatment of Degenerative Spondylolisthesis: Interim Results from an Ongoing Prospective Multi-center Comparative Study" authored by Antoine G. Tohmeh, MD, Robert E. Isaacs, MD and Jonathan Sembrano, MD.

 

Dr. Tohmeh is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists in Spokane, Wash., and has a special interest in minimally invasive and motion sparing techniques for spine surgery.

 

Dr. Isaacs is a neurosurgeon at Duke Medicine in Durham, N.C., with a special interest in spinal cancer, fractures and degenerative disease.

 

Dr. Sembrano is an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at the University of Minnesota with a special interest in spinal deformity and minimally invasive spine surgery.
