Spine surgeons from the South Texas Spinal Clinic are now using NuVasive's eXtreme Lateral Interbody Fusion technology for spinal procedures, according to a practice news release.
The XLIF procedure takes a minimally invasive, lateral approach to the spine, which is associated with less tissue trauma, scarring, blood loss and post-operative discomfort. The surgeons also employ microendoscopic discectomy, interbody fusion with cages and other procedures appropriate for each patient.
