Former UFC fighter stands up in support of NuVasive's XILF procedure

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Nate Quarry joined the The Better Way Back advocacy group as a patient ambassador and shared his story at a MIS Spine Injury Seminar at Camden County College in Blackwood, N.J., along with Jeffrey R. Gleimer, DO, according to a Philly.com report.

Mr. Quarry, who suffers from degenerative disc disease, underwent the XLIF procedure created by NuVasive, which allowed him to get back into the fighting ring. The seminar focused on the XILF procedure, with Mr. Quarry sharing his story and Dr. Gleimer providing technical information regarding the procedure. Dr. Gleimer is one of the few surgeons that perform XLIF in the area, according to the report.
