Mission Hospital to open $185M neuroscience, spine institute on Oct. 13

Mission Viejo, Calif.-based Mission Hospital will begin admitting patients to $185 million Neuroscience and Spine Institute on Oct. 13, according to an Orange County Register report.

The five-floor, 90,000-square-foot institute includes three operating rooms, eight private recovery rooms and two levels of intensive care. It also includes a linear accelerator and an O-arm. The institute is collaborating with Cleveland Clinic's Neurological Institute and will have a regional focus initially.

 

The institute will also offer prevention and education services, and will conduct outreach efforts, according to the report.
