DISC Sports & Spine Center in Newport Beach (Calif.) added Hooman M. Melamed, MD, to its medical staff, according to a Newport Beach Independent report.
Dr. Melamed focuses on minimally invasive spine surgery and treats a wide range of conditions including herniated discs, complex cervical and lumbar disorders, cervical and lumbar stenosis and scoliosis. He also serves as director of scoliosis and spinal deformity at Marina del Rey (Calif.) Hospital and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, according to the report.
