The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Board of Directors has adopted a new strategic plan, called "Vision 20/20" that outlines AAOS core values and strategic domains.

 

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons elected Raj Rao, MD, to its board of directors.

 

The International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery wrote a letter to more than 60 insurance companies commenting on the coding changes for minimally invasive SI joint fusion.

 

The American Association of Neurological Surgeons named Robert E. Harbaugh, MD, FAANS, president for 2015 to 2016.


 
The American Association of Neurological Surgeons named H. Hunter Batjer, MD, FAANS, president-elect for 2015 to 2016.

 

Troy M. Tippett, MD, was awarded the Harvey Cushing Medal by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons for his contributions to neurosurgery through leadership, service and dedication.

 

The American Association of Neurological Surgeons announced it has been re-surveyed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and has been awarded accreditation and commendation for six years as a provider of continuing medical education for physicians.
