Columbus-based OhioHealth has announced plans for $91 million in improvements at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield (Ohio) Hospital and OhioHealth MedCentral Shelby (Ohio) Hospital, which will include expanded orthopedic services such as spine services, according to a Mansfield News Journal report.
MedCentral Health System became a part of OhioHealth earlier this year, and as part of its commitment to MedCentral, OhioHealth had announced that it would invest substantial capital and resources in its hospitals as well as build an addition on MedCentral's Mansfield campus.
The addition would include a 123,000-square-foot medical office building, a 34,000-square-foot surgery department with 10 new surgery suites, two new open-heart surgery suites and 26,000 square feet of renovated hospital space. It will offer expanded heart and vascular services as well as expanded orthopedics services including spine, bone and joint, rheumatology and sports medicine, according to the report.
