The North American Spine Society hosted its annual Advocacy Day on March 27, according to a Spine on the Hill report.

The event included several NASS members who flew to Washington, D.C., and met with congressional representatives and staff members from their districts to discuss issues impacting spine care nationwide. The biggest topic was the temporary sustainable growth rate patch, which the House of Representatives voted on that day.

Several Congressmen spoke with the NASS members, including Georgia Republican Senator Tom Price, MD, a former practicing orthopedic surgeon and Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee and member of the Ways and Means Health Subcommittee.
