1. Collegeville, Pa.-based Synergy Biomedical released BioSphere Putty, a bioactive bone graft designed to produce faster bone formation.

2. Lanx, based out of Broomfield, Co., launched the TIMBERLINE Lateral and Interbody Spine Fusion Device. According to the press release it is the first modular anchored interbody device 

3. NuVasive, based out of San Diego, launched its Maximum Access Surgery Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion procedure, designed to decrease post-operative pain through minimizing back muscle retraction during surgery.

4. Leesburg, Va., - based K2M launched the MESA Small Stature Spinal System in Australia, Europe, and New Zealand.

5. Globus Medical in Audobon, Pa. lauched FORTIFY I, an expandable corpectomy spacer with integrated screws that provide stability and supplemental fixation.

6. Mitek Sports Medicine of Raynham, Mass. Released the HEALIX 3.4mm Suture Anchor for rotor cuff repair of the HEALIX TRANSTEND system.

7. Pioneer Surgical Technology, based out of Marquette, Mich., launched the minimally invasive spinal fixation system, designed to remain flexible and easy use while providing a rigid structure for the thoracolumbar spine. 

8. Medtronic, based out of Minneapolis, launched the ReDux Plier in European Markets. The ReDux Plier is intended to provide more control in closing pedicle substraction osteotomies in cases of severe spinal curvature. 

9. The Center Valley, Pa. company, Aesculap Implant Systems, released the CeSpaceXP for use in anterior cervical discectomy and fusion procedures.
