Boston Celtics' forward Jared Sullinger underwent lumber disc surgery last week and will be out the remainder of the season as he recovers, according to the Boston Globe. The player's surgery was moved up after he experienced back spasms. Team physician Brian McKeon, MD, directed the surgery, and it was reported to be a successful, permanent fix. The procedure was performed at New England Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Sullinger is expected to be back for next season's training camp.
