David W. Polly, MD, and Stefan Parent, MD, received the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation Prospective Clinical Research Grant for Spine Care, according to an AAOS Now report. Dr. Polly is the chief of spine service at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and has a professional interest in scoliosis and spinal tumors. He earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. His additional training includes a spine surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Parent is an assistant professor in the faculty of medicine at the University of Montreal in Canada. He completed his fellowship in pediatric orthopedic and spine surgery at the University of California, San Diego.
