Lanx, a medical device company focused on spinal surgery devices, has named six neurological and orthopedic spine surgeons to its surgeon advisory board, according to a Lanx news release.
The six surgeons appointed to the board are:
• Andrew Cappuccino, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon at Buffalo (N.Y.) Spine Surgery, who will serve as chairman of the board;
• Massimo Balsano, MD, chief of the orthopedic department of the Hospital of Thiene in Vicenza, Italy;
• Richard Fessler, MD, professor in the department of neurosurgery at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago;
• Andrew Freese, MD, medical director of neurosurgery at Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville, Pa.;
• Jeffrey Oppenheim, MD, a neurosurgeon with Hudson Valley Neurosurgical Associates in Suffern, N.Y.;
• Vikas Patel, MD, spine surgeon at The Spine Center at University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colo.
