Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Peter Capicotto of Greater Rochester Orthopaedics

Peter N. Capicotto, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Greater Rochester (N.Y.) Orthopaedics.

Dr. Capicotto specializes in treating and managing herniated or ruptured discs of the cervical or lumbar spine, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, reconstructive surgery or failed back surgery and work-related neck and back injuries.

 

Board-certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship-trained in spinal surgery, Dr. Capicotto is also certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners. He formerly served as a clinical instructor at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) School of Medicine's department of orthopedics.

 

Dr. Capicotto is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is affiliated with the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, North American Spine Society and more. His research has been widely presented and published throughout his career.

 

After graduating from SUNY Health Science Center, Dr. Capicotto completed his orthopedic surgery residency and spine fellowship training at SUNY at Buffalo.
