Kathryn J. McCarthy, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Little Rock-based Arkansas Specialty Orthopaedics.

Dr. McCarthy utilizes minimally invasive techniques to treat degenerative conditions and trauma of the spine in adult patients and treats scoliosis in adolescent patients.

 

A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and Scoliosis Research Society, Dr. McCarthy conducts research and publishes articles on outcomes in spine surgery, degenerative disease of the lumbar spine and cervical spine disease. She regularly attends professional meetings, delivers presentations and participates in orthopedic spine surgery advances.

 

Dr. McCarthy graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and completed orthopedic surgery residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago before undergoing fellowship training in orthopedic spine surgery at Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville.
