Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Richard Wohns of NeoSpine

Richard N.W. Wohns, MD, is a neurosurgeon current president of Puyallup, Wash.-based NeoSpine, a practice he founded.

Dr. Wohns specializes in outpatient and minimally invasive spine surgery, complex spine surgery and cervical and lumbar disc arthroplasty. He currently serves as associate clinical professor of neurological surgery at Seattle-based University of Washington and was medical director of the Ultima Thule Everest Expedition in Tibet in 1984. He has helped develop several medical devices and has been involved in many professional neurosurgical, medical and legal societies.

 

After graduating from New Haven, Conn.-based Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Wohns completed an internship and neurological residency at the University of Washington.
