Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Thomas Menke of the Kentucky Spine Institute

Thomas Menke, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who practices out of the Kentucky Spine Institute

Dr. Menke treats both spinal and general orthopedic conditions. 

 

Dr. Menke earned his medical degree and completed both his internship and residency at the University of Kentucky. He has continued his education by completing courses on innovative spine surgery techniques, and he has presented talks at local, national and international meetings. 

 

Dr. Menke is a member of several professional societies including the North American Spine Society and the American Medical Association.

 

Outside of his time at the Kentucky Spine Institute, Dr. Menke was the president of the Bluegrass Orthopaedic Society and the Chief of Surgery at Samaritan Hospital.

 

Unrelated to his professional career, Dr. Menke set school records at St. Louis University while competing for the swim team.
