Spine leader to know Dr. Dheera Ananthakrishnan of Emory Healthcare

Dheera Ananthakrishnan, MD, is a spine surgeon practicing at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta. She is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Emory University.

She has several clinical interests in spinal implants, spinal stenosis, spinal surgery, spinal tumors, lumbar disorders, lumbar decompression and scoliosis among many others. Dr. Ananthakrishnan co-founded Orthopaedic Link, a non-profit organization aimed at enhancing orthopedic care in the development world by giving them access to unused implants from the United States.

 

She attended medical school at Albany Medical College in New York and went on to complete her residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. She completed her fellowship at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco.
