Ashish K. Sahai, MD, is a founding partner of Deerfield Beach, Fla.-based Spine & Orthopedic Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and American Medical Association. His hospital affiliations include Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital and West Boca Medical Center, also in Boca Raton.

"I was interested in the anatomy of the brain and spine even as a medical student. After I chose orthopedic surgery, a spine specialty seemed a natural progression. Treating the spine both operatively and non-operatively is difficult but a challenge I look forward to because the difference it makes in a person's life. They become free of pain and enjoy life the way it was meant to be enjoyed," said Dr. Sahai, according to the Spine & Orthopedic Center website.

Dr. Sahai earned his medical degree at University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Tufts University in Boston as well as a spine fellowship at Stanford (Calif.) University.
