Andrew Cordover, MD, is a spine surgeon practicing with Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center. He was in private practice for 12 years before merging his practice with the Andrews center. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and North American Spine Society. He has been on the faculty for several companies and institutions, teaching surgeons the techniques using the latest technology.

Dr. Cordover's clinical interests in sports-related spine injuries, cervical herniated discs, lumbar degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, complex spine pathologies, tumors, trauma, failed previous surgeries as well as revision surgeries of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He also has a professional interest in spinal instrumentation and has developed spinal implants and surgical instruments. He has presented papers at numerous national and international professional meetings.

 

Dr. Cordover earned his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Hahnemann University Hospital and a fellowship in spine surgery at Duke University in Durham, N.C., where he trained with both the orthopedic and neurosurgery departments.
