Jamie L. Baisden, MD, is a neurosurgeon providing care at the SpineCare Clinic at Froedtert Tosa Health Center in Wauwatosa, Wis. She is also an assistant professor in the department of neurosurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin and is affiliated with the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. She is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Cervical Spine Research Society and North American Spine Society.

Dr. Baisden is board certified in Neurological Surgery and has a professional interest in conditions affecting the cervical, lumbar and thoracic spine. She treats disc herniations, spinal stenosis, spinal instability, spinal degenerative disease, spinal fractures, spinal trauma, spinal infections and spinal tumors. She performs minimally invasive surgery and spinal fusion and has an interest in instrumentation.

 

Dr. Baisden's research interests include evidence-based clinical guidelines for spine surgery and experimental models of spine surgical techniques. She has authored several professional articles published in journals such as The Spine Journal.

 

Dr. Baisden earned her medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown. She has completed two fellowships — one in spinal surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals and the other in spinal cord injury at Zablocki VA Medical Center.
