Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. David Chang of Marina Spine Center

David Chang, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Marina Spine Center in Marina Del Ray (Calif.) Hospital. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of North American Spine Society and California Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Chang is board certified and his clinical interests include minimally invasive spinal surgery, artificial disc replacement technology, and degenerative disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine. His specialties also include arthritis, arthroscopic surgery, deformity, disability and joint replacements.

"Being in private practices allows me to make my own choices, such as when I want to see patients, down to the smaller things, like what type of phone I would prefer to have in my office," said Dr. Chang in a Becker's Spine Review article.

Dr. Chang earned his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center's Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York. He has also completed an advanced fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery under Robert G. Watkins III, MD, Robert G. Watkins IV, MD, and Lytton A. Williams, MD, in Los Angeles.
