Orthopedic surgeons to know: Drs. Glenn Gaston, Bryan Loeffler of OrthoCarolina

Glenn Gaston, MD, and Bryan Loeffler, MD, are orthopedic surgeons at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, N.C.

Recently, Dr. Gaston and Dr. Loeffler performed targeted muscle reinnervation surgery on a woman whose arm was bitten off by a shark. Both physicians are continuing to make strides in the field of amputee surgery.

 

Dr. Gaston specializes in hand, wrist and elbow surgery and has interest in upper extremity research. After earning his medical degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis, Dr. Gaston completed his residency and internship at the Atlanta Medical Center. Dr. Gaston is fellowship trained at the Indianapolis-

based Indiana Hand Center.

 

Dr. Loeffler specializes in the entire spectrum of hand and upper extremity disorders from finger tip to shoulder and has interest in complex elbow conditions and peripheral nerve injuries. After earning his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Dr. Loeffler completed his

residency at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. Dr. Loeffler is fellowship trained at the Philadelphia-based Rothman Institute and the Philadelphia Hand Center.
