Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Deepak Chavda of Texas Bone and Joint Center

Deepak Chavda, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at North Richland Hills, Texas-based Texas Bone and Joint Center, a practice he founded in 1999.

Dr. Chavda specializes in treating trauma, hand, sports, knee and shoulder injuries in addition to joint replacement, cervical spine injuries and lumbar spine injuries.

 

His written work has been published in various journals and books and he is a reviewer for several medical journals' "Orthopedic and Sports" section. He holds membership with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

 

After graduating as a post-doctoral fellow at Houston-based M.D. Anderson Hospital, Dr. Chavda was a pathology resident at St. Louis Medical Center and an internal medicine resident at Durham, N.C.-based Duke University/VA Medical Center. He completed his orthopedic residency at Omaha, Neb.-based Creighton University.
