Two physicians are opening a new orthopedic practice in Miami, according to Miami's Community Newspapers.

Here's what you need to know:

 

1. The practice, called Miki & Alfonso Hand and Upper Extremity Center, was founded by orthopedic surgeons Roberto Miki, MD, and Daniel Alfonso, MD.

 

2. Dr. Miki specializes in treating the elbow and upper extremity, with expertise in complex elbow reconstruction.

 

3. Dr. Miki earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., and his fellowship at University of Miami Health System's Jackson Memorial Hospital.

 

4. Dr. Alfonso specializes in treating hand injuries and disorders.

 

5. Dr. Alfonso earned his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta. He went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency and his hand surgery fellowship at New York University's Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City.
