Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. John Kwon of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center

John Kwon, MD, serves as the chief of foot and ankle surgery division in the department of orthopedics at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. At Boston-based Harvard Medical School, Dr. Kwon is an instructor in orthopedic surgery. He has written over 50 publications and several book chapters.

Board-certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Kwon's research centers on traumatic injuries to the foot and ankle. He has presented his research at the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and Orthopedic Trauma Association meetings.

 

Dr. Kwon earned his medical degree from New York Medical College. Following medical school, he underwent his orthopedic residency at Harvard Medical School. He went on to complete his foot and ankle fellowship at the Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore.
