Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Michelle Caird of University of Michigan

Specializing in pediatric orthopedic surgery, Michelle S. Caird, MD, serves as an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her clinic interests include the treatment of idiopathic and congenital scoliosis, hip diseases in children, pediatric injuries, lower extremity deformities and length inequality.

Dr. Caird is the director of the University of Michigan Osteogenesis Imperfecta Multidisciplinary Clinic. Previously, she served as a member of the board of directors of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.

 

Dr. Caird earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. She underwent her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan Health System. Following her residency, Dr. Caird completed her pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
