Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Lance Estrada of New Orleans General Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine

Lance Estrada, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans. He also is a clinical professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baton Rouge-based Louisiana State University.

Board-certified in orthopedics and sports medicine, Dr. Estrada is the team physician for Metairie Park (La.) Country Day football team and Delta Festival Ballet, also located in Metairie. Dr. Estrada previously was the team physician for University of New Orleans athletics.

 

His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Louisiana Orthopaedic Association, Greater New Orleans Society of Orthopaedics and Arthroscopy Association of North America.

 

He earned his medical decree from Tulane University School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Estrada underwent his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
