Christopher Bibbo, DO, joined Sacred Heart Medical Group Orthopedics, according to a Pensacola News Journal report.
Here are five things to know about Dr. Bibbo:
1. Dr. Bibbo has a special interest in foot and ankle surgery. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and podiatric surgery, focusing on limb salvage, deformity correction, trauma and complex lower foot and ankle reconstructive microsurgery.
2. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bibbo is an assistant editor for Foot and Ankle International, Techniques in Foot and Ankle Surgery and a peer reviewer for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
3. He earned his medical degree from the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a general surgery and orthopedic surgery residency at the New Jersey Medical School/University Hospital-New Jersey State Trauma Center in Newark.
4. Dr. Bibbo completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at OrthoCarolina/Miller Orthopedic Clinic and the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. He did a second fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
5. Dr. Bibbo is a founder of the Chicago Lower Extremity Surgical Symposium.
