Novant Health breaks ground on $60M addition — 5 things to know

Novant Health broke ground on its $60 million renovation and addition to its Charlotte (N.C.) Orthopedic Hospital, according to The Charlotte Observer.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. The project will occur in two phases. The first phase entails a three-story, 89,000- square-foot building.

 

2. The facility will house 32 patient rooms, seven operating rooms and space for rehabilitation and pre-operative clinics.  

 

3. The first phase is scheduled to be completed by November 2017.

 

4. The second phase includes renovating 85,000 square feet of existing space for an outpatient surgery center.

 

5. The surgery center is expected to be completed in November 2018.
