Christopher E. Baker, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon practicing at Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Temple Terrace. He specializes in sports medicine as well as shoulder reconstruction. Dr. Baker is able to care for patients who have MRI contraindications due to pacemakers, foreign metal in their bodies or severe claustrophobia because of his additional training in ultrasound imaging.

Dr. Baker has lectured nationally and has written various book chapters. He previously served as the orthopedic and sports medicine physician for the Tampa Bay Storm and has worked with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Panthers, World Wrestling Entertainment and the Colorado Rockies.

 

Dr. Baker earned his medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. After obtaining his medical degree, he completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Baker went on to complete his sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction fellowship at Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in South Carolina.
