Here are six orthopedic surgeons making the news.

Newsweek named James C. Witting, MD, as one of America's top cancer doctors. Dr. Witting's work has been published in several professional journals such as Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research and The Journal of the American College of Surgeons.

 

Jonathon M. Spanyer, MD, joined Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers in Kentucky.

 

The American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics named Angela W. Rowe, DO, to its board of directors. Dr. Rowe specializes in joint replacement surgery, shoulder, elbow and knee surgery, fracture care as well as hand and wrist surgery.

 

Vishal Mehta, MD, has pioneered a new surgical technique called ProChondrix Augmentation. The technique serves as a cellular 3D fresh cartilage matrix, with preliminary results revealing patients with damaged knee cartilage experienced extended periods of relief with the technique.   

 

Hattiesburg (Miss.) Clinic welcomed Jeremy B. Wells, MD, to its medical staff. Dr. Wells is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

 

G. Adam Flowers, MD, joined Comprehensive Orthopaedic Global in the Virgin Islands. Dr. Flowers is a fellowship-trained sports medicine and arthroscopic surgeon.
