Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. James C. Walter of Texas Orthopaedic Associates

James C. Walter, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon practicing at Texas Orthopaedic Associates in Plano. He has been practicing at Texas Orthopaedic Associates since 2001 and presently serves as the orthopedic team physician for Allen High School, Wakeland High School and Little Elm High School.

He specializes in arthroscopy and the treatment of sports-related injuries. Additionally, he specializes in reconstructive surgery of the knee, shoulder and elbow. He is affiliated with numerous organizations such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and the Texas Society of Sports Medicine.

 

Dr. Walter earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis and went on to complete a residency from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. He completed his fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala.
