Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Brian M. Tonne of University Orthopaedic Surgeons

Brian M. Tonne, MD, has been with Knoxville, Tenn.-based University Orthopaedics for about three years. He specializes in treatment of pelvis and acetabular fractures, as well as treatment of arm and leg injuries.

Dr. Tonne also performs knee and hip replacements for patients with arthritis, including minimally invasive direct anterior hip replacement.

 

Dr. Tonne also currently holds a faculty position at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and is on the faculty of AO North America.

 

After receiving his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. Tonne completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in orthopedics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. Recently, Dr. Tonne completed a fellowship in orthopedic Traumatology at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
