Blue Belt Technologies signed a worldwide commercial agreement with DePuy Synthes to support the SIGMA HP Partial Knee System on Blue Belt's Navio Surgical System.


Here are five quick facts about the agreement:

1. DePuy Synthes' SIGMA HP Partial Knee System will be the sixth implant system supported on the Navio open platform software.

2. The agreement will expand Blue Belt's reach with Navio for robotic-assisted SIGMA HP Partial Knees.

3. The Navio Surgical System has proprietary CT-free navigation software and a handheld computer controlled bone sharing tool.

4. The robotic system is designed to improve implant placement accuracy and provide soft-tissue balancing benefits.

5. Around 7 percent of all knee replacement patients worldwide have partial joint replacement procedures, and the SIGMA HP Partial Knee is a truly modular system specifically designed for unicompartmental, bicompartmental or staged knee joint replacement.
