Celebration-based Florida Hospital Nicholson Center partnered with Titan Medical to support Titan Medical's SPORT Surgical System.
Here are four observations:
1. The SPORT Surgical System is comprised of a surgeon-controlled patient cart that includes a 3D vision system and multi-articulating instruments for performing minimally invasive surgery. It also includes a 3D endoscopic view inside the patient's body during procedures.
2. Partnership between the two will begin in the fourth quarter of 2017 and continue into 2018.
3. The Florida Hospital Nicholson Center has trained over 50,000 physicians on advanced surgical techniques and robotics.
4. Titan Medical is a device company focused on the research and development of computer assisted robotic surgical technologies in minimally invasive surgery.
