Ahmed Khan, MD, of New Britain-based Central Connecticut Neurosurgery and Spine, is the first physician in Connecticut to implant Nuvectra's Algovita Spinal Cord Stimulation System.

Here's what you should know.

 

1. The system is an FDA approved treatment for chronic intractable pain.

 

2. Dr. Khan is a neurosurgeon with Central Connecticut Neurosurgery and Spine. He is also affiliated with New Britain, Conn.-based Bristol Hospital.

 

3. He received his medical degree from the Mansfield-based University of Connecticut. He has been in practice for more than 20 years.
