Practice Management

Allen, Texas-based Allied Physical Medicine will collaborate with Phoenix-based R3 Stem Cell to offer stem cell procedures.

Here are four things to know:

1. The therapies succeed in over 85 percent of cases and often reduce the need for future risky surgery.

2. Stem cell treatments help the body repair cartilage, tendon, ligament, bone and other damaged tissue.

3. Jordan Pastorek, MD, of Frisco, Texas-based Pure Medicine performs the treatments.

4. The treatments are typically used to treat hip, knee, shoulder, ankle arthritis and spine conditions.

R3 Stem Cell CEO David Greene said, "The goal of regenerative medicine is to help patients avoid surgery and get their active lives back, and Allied is dedicated to being at the forefront of these options."
