National Spine and Pain Centers adds North Carolina's Interventional Pain Center to its network — 5 takeaways

Rockville, Md.,-based NSPC has joined forces with North Carolina's IPC to offer spine and cancer care to more patients across the East Coast.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. NSPC's comprehensive offering of advanced pain management diagnostic and treatment solutions will now benefit patients suffering from a wide variety of pain conditions in North Carolina.


2. Jim Robinson, CEO of NSPC said: "Not only does IPC solidify our presence on the East Coast, but their addition opens up significant opportunities for patients to receive the highest quality care in North Carolina."


3. IPC, whose physicians specialize in pain management and are board-certified in various fields, was founded in 2003 and has treated cancer and spinal pain in North Carolina since opening its doors. The center will be renamed to National Spine and Pain Centers and will offer care for patients in nine locations

throughout North Carolina.


4. NSPC will now offer care in over 60 locations throughout Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.


5. IPC's Viren Desai, MD, and other prominent physicians will now join NSPC's Mayo Friedlis, MD, Maged Hamza, MD, Sudhir Diwan, MD, Peter Staats, MD, Sanjay Bakshi, MD, among others to form a nationally and internationally recognized staff of physicians.
