Startup Forward focuses on transforming primary care

Practice Management

Entrepreneur Adrian Aoun recently opened Forward, a primary care startup in San Francisco, as reported by Forbes.

Mr. Aoun described the startup's vibe as a "doctor's office that feels more like an Apple Store," during an interview.

Upon entering, patient members receive a full-body scan. This scanner integrates artificial intelligence algorithms, which aid physicians in pinpointing symptoms.

New patients undergo a baseline workup, so physicians can gather a full-fledged understanding of their health. Once in the exam room, the physician already possesses access to all of the data gathered upon the patient entering.

Forward members receive wearable devices when leaving, which offers insights to the healthcare providers in real time.

Forward doesn't accept insurance, with membership costing $149 a month.

With Forward, Mr. Aoun hopes to transform primary care delivery into a continuous relationship between patients and providers.
