UCLA Health physicians are jumping into the new year with these resolutions

Practice Management

These five UCLA Health physicians shared their resolutions for 2017.

Leena Nathan, MD, an OB-GYN physician, hopes to put aside more time to talk with her husband. She also wants to dedicate more time to her 12-year-old Labrador: "He's always around, but he's easy to forget with three little kids and a full-time job."

In 2017, Gregory Henderson, MD, a dermatology clinical instructor, wants to actually pick up the phone as opposed to texting all the time.

Aurelia Nattiv, MD, a family medicine and orthopedic surgery professor, plans to focus her efforts on encouraging patients to exercise: "It's one of the best lifestyle modifications for optimal health and well-being, including osteoporosis prevention and management."

Edmond Hewlett, DDS, a restorative dentistry professor, set a short (but not so sweet) resolution: "Eat more mindfully in 2017."

In the new year, Nina Shapiro, MD, a head and neck surgery professor, set the goal of wrapping up her book on "dispelling hyped-up health myths."
