Construction on the Carle Orthopedics & Sports Medicine building in Champaign, Ill., is right on track, according to The News-Gazette.
Here are five notes:
1. The 52,000-square-foot building is set to open in the first quarter of 2017.
2. The new center will house about 50 physicians, physician assistants, athletic trainers and physical therapists, as well as support staff.
3. The new facility’s services include X-ray, injury diagnosis, specialized athletic training, orthopedic rehabilitation and injury prevention programs for 23 sports.
4. The new center will also include a dash track to measure the speed of running the 40-yard dash.
5. The new facility will feature larger exam rooms and an improved design for patients on crutches and in wheelchairs.
