Former Community Care Physician COO Robert Kleinbauer joins Bone & Joint/Capital Region Orthopaedics: 5 points

Practice Management

Robert Kleinbauer, former COO at Community Care Physicians, is now the administrative director for Bone & Joint/Capital Region Orthopaedics in Albany, N.Y., according to Albany Business Review.

Here are five points:

1. Until 2010, Mr. Kleinbauer was the COO at Community Care, one of the region's largest physician groups.

2. He has also held roles as VP of operations at Day Kimball Medical Group in Connecticut and president of Medical Affiliates of Cape Cod.

3. Bone & Joint/Capital Region Orthopaedics, one of Albany's largest orthopedic practices, has 35 physicians.

4. Bone & Joint/Capital Region Orthopaedics has offices in Catskill, Clifton Park, Guilderland, Malta, Saratoga, Schenectady and a flagship Bone & Joint Center in Albany.

5. Mr. Kleinbauer said the practice created the administrative director role because "things in healthcare and the business of running the medical organization had become more complex and they wanted to get more re-engaged. They were looking for somebody who had experience working with several satellites and staff in different areas, creating more of a supportive environment."
