Most U.S. physicians prefer small practices: 4 takeaways

A majority of physicians practiced in small medical practices comprised of two to 10 physicians in 2014, according to Statistica report.

Here are four takeaways:

 

1. Around 17.2 percent of surveyed physicians worked in solo practices.

 

2. Almost 33 percent of physicians delivered care in small practice settings, which included two to 10 physicians.

 

3. Approximately 21.6 percent practiced in medium-sized practices, comprising 11 to 50 physicians.

 

4. Around 28.4 percent reported providing care in large medical practices, with 51 or more physicians.
